COVID-19 Grooming Policy

Conditions under which we accept dogs for grooming.

Due to current Covid-19 pandemic the way in which we work and groom your dogs has changed. Whist we will be adhering to strict guidelines to reduce the spread of the disease , it must be clearly understood that clients wishing to have their dogs groomed at this time do so at their own risk and must agree to terms and conditions.

Terms and Conditions

Anybody self- isolating , classed as vulnerable or showing symptoms MUST NOT under any circumstances attend a grooming appointment until the household is clear. Please contact me to reschedule your appointment.

On Arrival

Clients must practise good hygiene procedures to minimise cross contamination. Clients are responsible for securing their dog to my slip lead attached to post. Once dog is secure remove own collar, lead and any harness and take away with you.

Payment

Payment will be made on collection of dog by Card payment only by adhering to 2m social distancing. Estimates are based on an average dog of the breed or type but owners must remember that some dogs will require extensive extra work and that this will be charged extra for example de matting.

Drop off/Pick up

You must drop off and pick up at the stated time. Only ONE client is permitted at spotless dogs at any one time. Times are purposely staggered to implement social distancing between clients. Any dogs arriving late may have to be rebooked .Uncollected or late collection will be charged a sitting fee as this may result in the next client having to be postponed or even cancelled.

Grooming your dog

There remains no evidence that pets are implemented in the transmission of coronavirus to people and infection of the pet is unlikely, but that there is some risk of virus being carried by pets and their belongings. For this reason before carrying out any grooming service your dog will have to be thoroughly washed first. Any nail trim requests will have to be booked in with a bath.

Shaving of dogs will dramatically change their appearance and the hair will be very short and close to the skin. This may expose pre-existing skin complaints. Your permission will be asked to shave off a matted coat.

We reserve the right to refuse a dog that presents a risk of injury to itself or staff. Under no circumstances do we except sedated dogs.
